Olympic Fever

It seems that the construction for the new Olympic venues are so far behind that there will not be time to put a roof on the new natatorium (that's a fancy word for indoor swimming facility). So now spectators will be treated to over 100 degree weather as well as burning sun. Woohoo! Pay thousands of dollars for airline tickets and hotel and then burn your scalp watching a few races! Priceless!

While Shaquille O'Neal has been offered a spot on the 2004 Olympic team, he hasn't decided whether he'll play. He has a gold medal from the 1996 games but passed playing in 2000. I personally don't understand why anyone wouldn't play if given the option. Is it money? Not wanting to stay in a dorm in Greece? What?

If he's just exhausted and wants his off time to himself to regenerate, etc, I can understand that but if it's money I'll be pissed.
