Swimming Controversy
Piersol won, was stripped of, and won back the gold medal in the men's 200m backstroke today. He won handily in the finals only to be told he had used an illegal turn in the last lap and was disqualified. The US filed a protest and the DQ was overturned. Of course now other countries have filed protests over the DQ being overturned, etc...Just another day at the Olympics.
In other swimming news, Phelps won another gold in the 200m IM bringing his metal haul (yes, I meant to say metal, not medal) to 4 gold and 2 bronze. US's Ryan Lochte got silver in the 200m IM.
