One One-Hundredth of a Second
that's by how much Michael Phelps won his 7th gold medal. He did not lead for any part of the race but still somehow touched the wall first, and that's all that really counts. With this win in the 100 meter Butterfly, Phelps has now matched Mark Spitz's 1972 record of 7 gold medals in a single Olympics. And yes, he broke the past Olympic record.
There's one race left for him on Sunday. If he wins that, he will surely claim the title of most awesome Olympian!
